It’s that time of year again. Summer is winding down, and we have roughly 20 days until the start of the 2024 school year. We have diligently been preparing for this moment. To help all our families with the process of starting a new school year, we've created this “site-specific back-to-school information” document as a one-stop shop to help you find important information. Catoosa Public Schools recognizes that there are limited options on where you can go when severe weather strikes our community. Some may have a storm shelter, but for those who don’t have that option, Catoosa Public Schools finally has a pretty unique solution for our community.
We are excited to announce that our Board of Education unanimously approved the use of the Catoosa Public Schools Dome Cafeteria as a community storm shelter during imminent weather last night at its regularly scheduled Board of Education meeting. The community storm shelter is located adjacent to Wells Middle School and is ready to use during a tornado watch during non-school hours to provide a secure space that shields our patrons from the unpredictable Oklahoma weather,
