Some may have a storm shelter, but for those who don’t have that option, Catoosa Public Schools finally has a pretty unique solution for our community. We are excited to announce that our Board of Education unanimously approved the use of the Catoosa Public Schools Dome Cafeteria as a community storm shelter during imminent weather last night at its regularly scheduled Board of Education meeting. The community storm shelter is located adjacent to Wells Middle School and is ready to use during a tornado watch during non-school hours to provide a secure space that shields our patrons from the unpredictable Oklahoma weather, Please review the information carefully outlined in this communication. UPDATE as of 5/22/2024 at 1:10 PM. We have been closely monitoring the weather forecast for our graduation ceremony on Thursday, May 23, at 7:00 PM. Based on the most current information available from the National Weather Service and the Tulsa Area Emergency Management Agency, we have decided to move the ceremony indoors to the Catoosa Indian Activity Center (CIAC). This location change will ensure that our seniors—and their families—can celebrate safely on Thursday evening. Please note the following: 1. The main doors to the CIAC will open at 6:00 PM 2. The ceremony will start promptly at 7:00 PM 3. Tickets are NOT required 4. NO reserved seating 5. For those that can not attend, the ceremony will be streamed via the Catoosa Public Schools Facebook page We are super proud of the class of 2024 and can not wait to see them turn their tassels tomorrow evening.

Graduation day is just around the corner, and we're looking forward to a wonderful celebration of our outstanding class of 2024! Catoosa Families, as you probably know, the recent weather forecast indicates severe weather moving into the area later today and into the evening hours. As a precaution, we’ve decided to postpone all activities on our campus starting this evening. Specifically, the physical, drug test and enrollment expo are scheduled to start at 6:00 PM. While this can be inconvenient, we prioritize keeping our students, staff, and families safe. We hope you understand this is the right step to take.
